Charlie Crone - Laytown, Co. Meath
Crone’s art is a tribute to the natural world. Although not religious, he believes his work is devotional to nature as a faith of its own. Each painting devotes itself to an aspect of the natural world, whether flora, fauna, or landscapes. He approaches each subject as if it were a saint or holy figure in a religious painting, taking notice and appreciating that it all plays a part in the same system and without it, we don’t exist.
His art serves as a reminder that we are part of that same system — not separate, not superior but a reminder to take in the world that’s around us.
